Find your Google My Business listing by going to https://www.google.com/business/ and logging in. You should see the image below in the center of the screen. Click on the MY BUSINESS in the upper left-hand corner of the page to access your listing.
On your Google My Business listing home page look for the section shown below. It’s located midway down in the right-hand column. Click SHARE REVIEW FORM and click on the link when it pops up.
Add the link to a simple email such as the one shown below. Copy and paste the email to anyone who you’ve had a positive interaction with recently. Here’s an example:
“Hello NAME,
It was great talking with you TODAY/YESTERDAY!
Now more than ever, we are trying to let people know about who we are and how we help people with their insurance. Google reviews are the best way for us to share that message. Would you have any objections to sharing your thoughts on how we’ve helped you? It takes just a few seconds and if you click on this link [GMB Review Link] you’ll go directly to our review page.
Thank you so much for your business. Have a wonderful day!“
It’s short, sweet and to the point. Simply add this email request to your process and watch the reviews pile up.
Remember, you need to respond to each and every review that someone takes the time to leave. Here are a couple of examples:
POSITIVE REVIEW: Thank you so much for your kind words, NAME! We appreciate you and look forward to talking with you soon.
NEGATIVE REVIEW: We’re sorry that you had a negative experience with our agency and we want to make sure you get the service you need. Please call our office or email us at NAME@alltate.com when you have a second and we’ll help you however we can. You are a valued customer and we value your business.
